We all have vices. While we cannot judge you for them or make you refrain from pursuing them, we can at least help you manage some of the effects they have on your body, specifically, for today, vaping.
We are going to give you a few tips and guidelines to counteract the negative effects it has on your skin, as the facts do not lie. Vaping causes numerous issues regarding your health, but luckily some of them can be countered, so without further ado, let us just get into it.
1. Use Products That Contain Vasodilators
Try to use products that contain vasodilators to stimulate your blood flow, so products with ingredients like ginseng, peppermint, and rosemary can all prove beneficial for boosting your circulation and getting your skin glowing.
When it comes to vaping, there are a few other things you should always keep in mind. Always clean and replace your parts on time to avoid contaminating the vape juice, and when it comes to vape juice, only use safe and reliable vape juice—or as safe and reliable as it gets.
Moreover, purchase e-liquids from licensed distributors and legitimate sellers to avoid accidentally poisoning yourself. Try not to overdo it and regiment yourself so you at least have an idea of how much you are partaking.
2. Drink Water, Lots of Water
This is essential for everyone, no matter what they are doing or not doing. And we mean water, not coke, Fanta, sprite, or whatever; those may taste good but are not beneficial in the way water is. Keep yourself hydrated.
This is one of the most important things you can possibly do for your body. We are composed of 70% water, and water is basically our fuel, helping to keep our body systems functional and healthy and keeping them running.
Water helps your liver eliminate toxins from the body; it helps reduce puffiness, helps with kidney function, and it can even help with actual skin conditions like psoriasis or eczema. Remember to drink at least a liter or two of water a day.
3. Upside Down
Something that may prove beneficial is hanging upside down for three minutes a day. You can do this up against a wall, over the side of your bed, or on your couch; it does not matter, as long as you are upside down.
This will help stimulate your circulation and blood flow to your head, and after three minutes you will notice a slight redness appearing on your skin. This is good, it is healthy, and it can make quite a difference in the long run.
4. Eat Antioxidant-rich Food
Eat plenty of antioxidant-rich foods. Citrus fruits like lemons, oranges, and grapefruits are all loaded with precious Vitamin C, which is obviously one of the most important ingredients for your physical well-being.
Carrots supply your body with good protection against aging, while sweet potatoes are the nutritional all-star here, loaded with Vitamin C, potassium, fiber, and carotenoids. Eat plenty of foods like these, which should help your skin and body stay as functional as possible.
Alcohol really is not good for your body, not only depleting your skin of precious water but also a lot of essential vitamins too, so rehydrate your body with lots of water and add some fruits to your glass to give yourself a boost of antioxidants.
Vitamin C and E treatments can also help to at least visually repair the alcohol damage from within. Vitamin C is known to help repair capillaries, which is excellent as alcohol puts pressure on your capillaries.
Moisturizing your skin with a variety of skin-type-specific products will also help to reduce the effects, at least visually. This is not only good for alcohol but also in general; keeping your skin nice and moisturized is extremely important, which is why such a plethora of products and treatments exist.
When it comes to things you should eat, there are quite a few to go over. As mentioned previously, eating plenty of antioxidant-rich foods is very beneficial, protecting you from disease and slowing the aging process.
Also load up on plenty of Vitamin C every day, again, as previously mentioned. We can also add cold-water fish to this list, so fish like sardines, tuna, mackerel, cod, and trout should be included in your diet as often as possible, as all of these contain essential fats for smoother, more moisturized skin, increased energy, and improved immunity.
If you absolutely hate and loathe fish, there are also pills that contain some of the fats that are so important for your body, which is still more or less a half-measure but better than nothing.
Opt out of Sugar
Especially if you are already vaping, you do not want to add even more harmful substances to your body. And sadly, yes, sugar is really not good for our bodies, especially in the excesses we are used to today.
Too much of anything puts a strain on your body and skin, and sugar can cause a surge in insulin and inflammation. Try to avoid sugar as much as possible, especially in food or drink that you know is 95% sugar and little else, and opt for a more balanced diet where you consume all the nutrients you require.
Exercise is somewhat of a no-brainer, but it’s all too easy to forget. Especially if you are already smoking, vaping, or doing anything of the sort, regular exercise is absolutely vital to clean and filter out your body functions while also having skin benefits.
You circulate your blood, which carries oxygen and nutrients to all your cells. This will not only provide an instant, healthy glow but will also help your skin repair itself faster. Exercise will also help reduce stress, which is bad for you in general.
Vices are universal, and while it is your sole responsibility to stop or not, we have given you a few tips and things to keep in mind to mitigate the effects as much as possible. But it does not stop here; do research, consult a professional, and work on improving your body and health every day. It really is not easy, but it is absolutely necessary.
