Divyanka Tripathi Dahiya was born on 14 December 1984, she is an Indian actress who works in Hindi television.

Divyanka is most famous for playing the dual roles in Banoo Main Teri Dulhann and the character of Dr. Ishita Bhalla in Ye Hai Mohabbatein.

Besides, she won a dance reality show Nach Baliye in 2017.

Early life

Tripathi was born in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. She attended Nutan College in Bhopal and completed a mountaineering course from the Nehru Institute of Mountaineering in Uttarkashi.

Career

She started her career as an anchor on All India Radio and participated in Pantene Zee Teen Queen in 2003. She won the title of Miss Beautiful Skin.

The following year, Tripathi took part in India’s Best Cinestar’s Ki Khoj, where she ended up in the top 8 from the Bhopal zone.

After that, she contested from the Indore zone and was declared the runner up. In the end, she has crowned Miss Bhopal.

When it comes to her acting career, Divyanka made a debut in telefilms for Doordarshan. Then, she starred in the drama fiction

Banoo Main Teri Dulhann. There she played dual roles of Vidya, an orphan and illiterate girl, and Divya, a modern and literate girl. That performance brought her many awards, including the Indian Television Academy Award for Best Actress in Drama Category.

In addition, she portrayed the character of Dr. Ishita Bhalla. Bhalla is an infertile dentist who got married to a chief executive officer so she could provide maternal affection to his daughter. That role got her awards and nominations such as the Indian Telly Award for Best Actress in a Lead Role.

Divyanka dated actor Sharad Malhotra, who she met while working on Banoo Main Teri Dulhann. However, they ended the relationship in 2015.

In 2016, she got engaged to co-actor Vivek Dahiya, and the couple got married the same year.
