Gandhi hails from a Gujarati-Jain family. He lives with his parents in Mumbai. His older brother also lives with them.

Samay Shah is his maternal cousin. He played his on-screen friend Gurucharan Singh Sodhi on Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah.

Career
From years 2008 to 2017, the actor appeared in the comedy show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah as Tipendra Jethalal Gada (better known as Tappu). He left that show to pursue a career as a film actor because he thinks the makers ignore his character in the show.
Bhavya also played the role of child lead Suryakant in the 2010 Hindi film Striker, where he showed his talent.
His Gujarati cinema role was in Pappa Tamne Nahi Samjaay. It was released on August 25, 2017.
Then, in 2018, he did a Gujarati drama film along with Dharmesh Vyas, Ragi Jani, and Falguni Mistry.
In 2019, he played a leading role in the film Bau Na Vichar, directed by Hrutul Patel.
